Kookle Nesting Dolls

The most ADORABLE craft kit arrived in the store today. It's paint your own nesting dolls and the company name is "Kookle!" When I went to the CHA show part of the show is all new vendors. When I saw this product and met the girl selling them I was hooked! She was the sweetest thing and she was so excited that I wanted the product! You'll want it too when you see it! I'm going to paint mine with caricatures of our family: dad, mom, sister, brother, cat. You could decopauge photos on and then paint the bodies, or you could do something totally random like paint the characters from your favorite movie! Whatever you choose to paint, you will have your very own nesting dolls!

A Career in the Arts

I got to represent the Arts Industry at the YS "HUB" tonight and talk to kids and parents about pursuing a career in the arts. The most popular Art kids were interested in was Video Production. Big shout out to Mr. Fritz at the High School who apparently is running a killer program! If you or someone you know is interested in pursuing a career in art, photography, video, or management feel free to stop in and chat!

Home again, home again...

Right, so I'm back from the show and today was my first day back in the shop. Did the girls miss me? Well, I brought presents back so I know they were glad I came home! There was so much to tell them that it took all day. The most exciting thing we talked about today was the direction we want to take our craft bazaars. Remember Renaissance Fairs? Well, have you ever noticed the big grassy "knoll" at the end of our building? We're think a fun and funky craft fair in the grass at the end of the building during the 4th of July Fest. We're TOTALLY JAZZED about the idea! If you are too, tell me! We want a huge craft crowd! So start working on your crafts. The funkier the better!
